Our Story
Care That Begins With Connection
Care in Common Behavioral Health Agency was founded on a simple but powerful belief: every child and family deserves to feel supported, understood, and connected to quality care. We recognize that behavioral and emotional challenges do not exist in isolation. Children and adolescents are influenced by their families, schools, communities, relationships, and life experiences. That is why Care in Common takes a whole-person, family-centered approach to behavioral health—looking beyond immediate needs to understand the individual strengths, circumstances, and support systems surrounding every young person we serve.
Our mission extends beyond providing services. We strive to create environments where children and adolescents feel safe, valued, respected, and empowered to grow. Through behavioral health services, respite care, therapeutic support, nursing support, care coordination, academic assistance, and family-focused services, we work alongside families and community partners to build stronger pathways toward stability and success. At Care in Common, care is more than what we provide—it is the foundation of who we are.
Our Commitment
We are committed to delivering services that are compassionate, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, individualized, and centered on the needs of children and families. Our team believes meaningful change happens through relationships. We collaborate with families, caregivers, care coordinators, schools, healthcare professionals, and community partners to ensure the people we serve have a network of support working toward common goals. We meet children and families where they are while helping them move toward where they want to be.

A Message From Our Executive Director
“At Care in Common, we understand that behind every referral is a child, a family, and a story. Our responsibility is to honor that story while providing the care, structure, compassion, and support necessary to help create the next chapter. I created Care in Common with the belief that quality care should feel personal. Children deserve to know that they matter, families deserve partners they can trust, and communities deserve organizations willing to work together for better outcomes. Our goal is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people entrusted to our care.” — Daritta M. Latham, MSCJ, BA
